Physical Therapists in Illinois
Physical therapy is concerned with identifying and maximizing quality of life and movement potential within the spheres of promotion, prevention, diagnosis, treatment/intervention,and rehabilitation. Physical therapists can develop programs for autistic children. They may work with very young children on basic motor skills such as sitting, rolling, standing and playing in the home and then follow up as they get older in school. They may also work with parents to teach them some techniques for helping their child build muscle strength, coordination and skills.
